A long HOT summer ahead...

Well, our little girl is growing up. Just kidding. She is continuing to grow in her Mommy's belly though. Stephanie is now just a bit over 7 months along. We had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and everything is progressing perfectly. Her little heartbeat was in range (and seemed much stronger to me) and Stephanie has gained 23 pounds (she may not have wanted me to mention that) which is right where our doctor wanted her at this stage. Stephanie will now be going in for a visit every two weeks.

These are 10 things that I have learned to this point in my brief history as a parent-to-be:

10 - Instructions could be somewhat helpful when putting together a crib.
9 - Pregnant women can eat a lot of food, even when they are petite.
8 - Stephanie apparently has sharp elbows and our little girl does not appreciate it when she rests them on her belly.
7 - Walking helps alleviate swollen legs and ankles (and apparently so does ice cream).
6 - Our child prefers eighties music over classical.
5 - Babies need lots of stuff that I didn't even know existed.
4 - Pink is a very popular color for girl baby attire.
3 - We will go through diapers by the truckload in this next year (thanks to my company's diaper shower, we should be pretty much covered though - See below).
2 - 90 degree weather and women who are 7-months pregnant do not mix (I don't even want to think about 100 degrees and 8 or 9 months).
1 - Though we haven't officially met her yet, we now know for certain that we have the most beautiful, intelligent and happy baby in the world.

Check back soon for a new update.
