Last week was my birthday, and Sarah was very excited - we had to have a cake, candles, presents, etc. She also told me that I was going to have a blue present and a red present (?). So when the day came, I ended up making dinner because Kevin couldn't get home early enough to make anything fancy. Kevin did surprise me by taking the following day off so I could have the day to myself while he stayed with Nathan. Anyway, I went with spaghetti, which everyone likes, and Kevin brought home a cake. So we ate dinner and then it was time for cake. Again, Sarah was very excited, but she was so enthusiastic, she ended up with much of her cake on her face!
About the blue and red presents. It turns out that Sarah picked out my present on her own, including which store they went to, which I thought would be scary, but it turns out that she chose Crate and Barrel, and she got me this really nice red serving bowl (the red present), and a Christmas ornament with a blue jingle bell on it (the blue present). The girl's got taste! Kevin said that he kept trying to steer her towards cheaper items, but she wanted the bowl no matter what.
