Nathan's Baptism

Two Sundays ago, we had Nathan baptized at St. Thomas More, our new church. We had lunch at our house beforehand, so that family and friends travelling from out of town could get on the road shortly after the ceremony. The church has its baptisms every Sunday at 2 pm, so we didn't want people to have to drive home in the dark for too long.

Anyway, Nathan's godparents are my sister, Kathy, and our good friend, Omar Cardenas. We are excited to have them serve this special role in Nathan's life.

I took the photos our house, but those taken during the ceremony and afterwards were taken by our 9 year old nephew, Joseph. I think he did a great job! Thanks Joseph!

The gown that Nathan is wearing is over 90 years old. It was originally worn by Kevin's grandfather's family, then by Kevin's dad and his siblings, and then by Kevin, Trey and a few of their cousins. It's very special.
