Getting Ready for the Holidays

So finally we are at Christmas. The holidays began with an open house at Sarah and Nathan's day care. We were about to walk out the door when Sarah came running down the hall, slipped, and her cheek made contact with the door frame. We were supposed to take a Christmas photo that night since the kids would be all dressed up, but she was not happy and her cheek was scratched up pretty well. We got this one, which I think is funny, and what's more amazing, Sarah actually smiled. We ended up running a little late, and Sarah's teacher was worried that we weren't going to make it. She said that she wanted Sarah up front since she knew all the words. Not to worry, we made it just in time!

First up was Nate's class singing Christmas carols

Next was Sarah's class

Kevin and I had a wedding to go to, so we dropped the kids off at Nannie and Grandpa's.
Luckily, we were just in time for Santa to come around on the fire truck!

There he is!

Sarah and I went to see The Nutcracker last year, but she thought since
her Daddy had never seen it, she should take him this year.

On stage after the show. Standing in first position.

It takes about 12 seconds to figure out what song they are singing.
