Nate's Girls

I'm jumping ahead to post this because it's too funny (I have a few other posts waiting in the wings). The other night, Nate and I were cuddling in my bed, looking at the latest Real Simple magazine together. It was a nice quiet time for us, or so I thought.

Next thing I know, he's looking at all of the women in the ads and commenting on them! I kept my mouth shut and would let him flip through until we got to the ads below. The first one is the person Nate would like to be his mom. I asked him, "what about me?" and he said we could both be his moms. Thanks, Nate. At 32 weeks, being supplanted by a pretty actress/model is just what I need right about now. (And Kevin, no comments about wanting her to be Nate's new mom either!)

The second image is a bit different. When asked if he wanted her to be his mom, he said "no." When asked if he wanted to marry her, he said, "No, I just want her." Now I don't know where this objectification comes from, but we'll be putting an end to it pretty quickly! I asked him what he liked about her, and he said it just like this, "her hair...her eyes...her lips." So we'll see if he keeps liking the brunettes, and we'll also see how close he gets to a beautifully air-brushed model! (:
