Yee Haw, It's Rodeo Time!

Can I just begin by saying how much fun I think the rodeo is? There's food, rides, animal races, and sometimes you get lucky with a good concert...oh, and the people watching, especially if you go to the concert!

We took the kids to the rodeo this year in Austin, but didn't bother with the concert, which unfortunately meant that we couldn't see cattle roping, barrel races, etc., but the kids had a great time watching the little kids ride sheep, pig races, the petting zoo, watching a demonstration on how cows are milked, live outdoor musical entertainment, and of course the rides! We look forward to next year, when both Kevin and I can take them on the rides.

What's a rodeo without tractor sales?

I'm not even going to comment on the lack of safety
on this one. I was not a part of this until
I saw them on the ride.

This one went in a circle and went pretty high!
I think Sarah is our dare devil.
Nate is a bit of a chicken.

A crummy end to a fun day. We had parked behind a car,
and some dummy parked behind us, so we had to
wait an hour for a tow truck to come and move the car behind us.
The kids thought it was pretty awesome though.
