Our Kids' Musings

It's been awhile since I posted some of the funny things our daughter has been saying. Here are a couple of cute ones:

Did you know there are two ways to smile? (now you see our daughter showing us a toothy smile and then the close-mouthed kind). Where do they get this? Sarah had pictures at school today. I asked her for a toothy smile, but she said she wanted to close her mouth and smile. I should have known. She prefers to do the opposite of what we say. Anyone read Your 3 Year Old: Friend or Enemy? It's on our list of books to read...

The other morning on the way to work, Kool & the Gang's "Get Down on It" was playing. Sarah asked me, "get down on what?" Good question!

I would like to point out the radio has become problematic on our car rides as Sarah now listens to the words, as proven above. I play dumb a lot, or many times, I've just never thought about it. Another recent song that caused trouble was Pink's "So What." The other day Sarah asked me, "why does she want to get in a fight?" And I tell her, "she must be mad. We shouldn't get into a fight though, should we?" Oh well, the song does have a good beat!

The other day coming home from work, Sarah said to me, "Oh Mommy, I just have to tell you..."

And last but not least, tonight my son said Night, Night for the first time! That's his first two syllable understandable word. He is definitely not the chatterbox that his sister was at this age, but he's working on it.
