July 4th, 2010

The July 4th holiday started off with another parade at school. Then the day before the 4th, our neighborhood had its annual parade, followed by an afternoon softball game. On the 4th, we headed to Trey and Ann's house. Unfortunately, it appears I did not take any photos from that this year, but I can tell you - the kids had a great time, playing in the water bounce slide, playing with the big kids, the basketball court, the playscape, and even the sparklers. Fireworks, well, Sarah lasted until halfway, and Nate had me take him inside after the 1st one went up. There were no tears though, so we're getting there!

Is that a First Place winning wagon, or what?
The kids just had Kevin keep adding
more decorations, and they won!

the perfect time to splash in the puddles

Modeling her outfit and winner's medal. I made the top and skirt. The top is
an iron-on,and the skirt, well, it's called a 10-minute tulle skirt, which the woman
said it takes about 15 minutes. Let's add about 2.25 hours to her estimate!
At least I was watching a movie while making it. IF you ever get one from me
for your daughter, I must really love you all!
This is probably Sarah's one and only "10-minute tulle skirt!"
