I'll post pics from New Year's soon, I promise!
Sarah and Nathan started a new school this past Monday. It's much closer to our house and it offers more, so while that was good, we weren't too sure how the kiddos would fare. Sarah has been excited since Day One to go, but does that mean she would REALLY like it? We took the kids by the school last Friday while we were still on vacation and Sarah got to play outside with the kids in her new class (the playground was a major concern of hers). It passed with flying colors. Monday came, and all of us went to the school, loaded down with blankets, pillows, sippy cups, diapers, etc. We took Sarah to her room first, and then Kevin stayed with her while I took Nathan to his room. The morning went smoothly, but we were worried about lunch. This school provides lunches (and the school is peanut-free, yea!), so you are at the mercy of whomever creates the menu. Monday was a bean burrito, which I'm sure is fine, but we didn't think our daughter would eat it, which we found out later she didn't, but she ate some other things and seemed fine. When I picked them up at the end of the day, Sarah said she had had fun and Nathan seemed happy. All reports from the teachers have been good, which makes Mommy and Daddy feel much better about the transition. Sarah had her first dance class yesterday, which she was extremely excited about. They provide these classes to everyone. Today's fun activities for Sarah are going to the gym and then her Spanish class. Tomorrow it's cooking class and computer class. Sarah said this morning, "I didn't know there'd be so much at this school!"

That is awesome! I am happy to hear that the transition was smooth.
