Rodeo Austin

This past weekend, we took the kids to the rodeo held here in Austin. Sarah has seen some of the events on TV, like bull riding, barrel racing, etc. and she was very excited. We got there in time to watch the bull riding and Sarah really got into it. She was very disappointed that there was no barrel racing, since she wanted to see the cowgirls.

You may not be able to tell from the photos, but Sarah was decked out in pink and cowgirl gear. She had a pink hat, pink ponytail holders, a pink shirt, and pink boots. At one point, she started listing everything she had on that was pink and said, "I'm pinkalicious!" For those of you who know the book she's talking about, she was pretty pinkalicious!

After the rodeo, we went to go check out the animals. We were with some friends, and soon after watching the bull riding, it was time for them to take their little ones home. After they had left, we asked Sarah if she wanted to go see the animals, or go ride some of the carnival rides. She chose the rides, and when it came time to decide which ones to ride, she chose the fastest ones for her size. We were impressed! Notice who is riding the fast rides vs the slower one with Sarah.

Yep, that's Nathan with his first taste of cotton candy.
The second child has it sooo much easier!

Tell Sarah she must wear her pinkalicious cowboy outfit to Joey's party!
