He's Here!

Okay, so our cousins' blog has pictures of our son, so we figured we better get around to posting some pics of our dear Nathan! Nathan (Nate) Edward Taparauskas was born Monday, Sept. 24th at 9:51 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz, and was 20.5 inches long. Mommy managed not to have a c-section this time around (Big Sister Sarah was breech), and after a week, Mommy was finally able to say that the VBAC was better than the c-section, although she really wondered at first. Anyway, everybody is doing great, and we're all getting settled. Nathan appears to be sleeping better than Sarah, and that's good news! Big Sister is doing very well at home. She's been "acting out" at school, but the teachers and director assure us that this is normal. Sarah is a big help, bringing diapers, getting the pacifier (which we usually have to wash since she handles the nipple part, and she's kind of germy), and just keeping an eye on him and telling us when he is awake or asleep. Here are a couple of pictures from his birthday, and we have plenty more to come.
