On Sunday night, a week after buying our pumpkins, we decided we should carve them while we had the time. See, it's amazing that I can even get myself showered daily and maybe I do a load of laundry. Actually, I have no trouble doing laundry, it's the folding and putting away that I have trouble with. I've got stacks in the laundry room, and at the rate I'm going, I'll just move my stuff down there since it ends up back in the washing machine anyway. But that's beside the point, we were "making the time" to carve our pumpkin with Sarah since this is the first year that she seems to understand what's going on with holidays, birthdays, etc. It's been fun. Since Nathan is too small, and doesn't like the night air (so he says), he stayed within view inside while we indoctrinated Sarah into the world of pumpkin carving. In fact, we hope to start up the pumpkin carving parties again next year.
Hanging out

Are we starting soon?

Cleaning out the guts

"Let me do it!"

"The eyes should go here"

Sarah's favorite line, "I want to help"

And voila! We named him Pumpkinhead
