I type this with a heavy heart, but it appears that Newton met his demise early this morning, most likely due to one of the coyotes in our area.
I got him and his brother 10 years ago right after I graduated from college, so he'd been with me for a long time. He was a sweet cat, loved to give hugs and have his back stretched, and as much as he drove me crazy sometimes, I'll miss him.

Oh, Steph. I'm so sorry. I know how you love animals- I remember Buffy and Lizzie and Sassy (I think that was the cat's name) from long ago.
You have been blessed with some wonderful pets through the years- I am sure Newton was no exception.
