Sarah loved all of the shows. She said that her favorite thing was Shamu. And who knew we'd be chanting Shamu during the show? Nathan did great too. The only semi-meltdown was Sarah. We were trying to eat lunch before the Shamu show and I guess she thought we were skipping Shamu to go eat, so she started crying, but we quickly explained it to her and she calmed down.
It will be fun to go back when the kids are older and we can do some of the things for older kids. I ran into some friends from high school who have 3, 5 and 9 year old daughters and they said they were having trouble finding rides the youngest girl could do. We just stuck to the shows and the things you don't have to wait in line for.
Feeding the dolphins - the fish are stinky (Sarah's words)
Sarah just fed the dolphin
Daddy and Sarah watching the dolphins
Mommy and Sarah watching Viva
(a Cirque de Soleil-like show with dolphins and beluga whales)
Synchronized swimmers (Daddy's favorite) and
a trainer dancing with a beluga whale. I always think of
Melissa LaChance when I see beluga whales! (inside joke)
Shamu, Shamu!
Nathan passed out in the first 10 minutes of the Shamu show
Poor kid
Having a snack in the Penguin Encounter building
Sarah and Daddy in Shamu's Happy Harbor
Sarah and Nathan sporting their new Sea World hats
Five minutes after we got into the car to go home.
The End.
