Sarah's Dance Camp

Also in July, we enrolled Sarah in a 7 week dance class. She had been saying she wanted to take dance, but I was nervous about putting her in a regular class that went from September to June, so we tried this. Sarah's teacher, Ms. Trish, is in her early 70s and has been teaching for so long, that many of the older teachers had her as their first teacher! Ms. Trish has the patience of Mother Theresa and I think might even reach sainthood eventually. Here's a cute slideshow that our local newspaper ran about her. Sarah enjoyed the class and so now we are in for the long haul, with her recital on June 5th! Below are some pics and some video from one of the classes when the parents were allowed to visit. One thing I should point out, we had just gotten our new camera, so I wasn't too great with the settings yet.

At the beginning of each class, the children (if they want to)
can stand in the center and say, "Hi everybody.
My name is X." and then they bow or curtsy.

Making lots of noise is a requirement of tap.
Here they are, pretending to be a train.

Learning to gallop - often turns into a race!

Kevin and I keep getting what Ms. Trish says stuck in our heads.
